Like many of you, I'm a bit of a nerd about things. (see photo below of my 'chapter' markings for a tandem read of Sarah J Mass's Empire of Storms & Tower of Dawn ) Aside from ridiculous reading habits, I also have a real love for data. As I was thinking about my plans for the email list this year, I looked at last year's data and realized that in my attempt to email every other week, I typically ended up only reaching out once per month. Knowing my particular type of nerdiness, this is because I didn't give myself enough structure. SO! This year we're going to try an experiment with more structure. Rather than random musings on leadership in STEM, I'm going to get a bit more grounded in current events and what you all actually want to hear about. Another nerdy thing about me is that I love advice columns. So I thought - why not spend one email per month answering questions directly from you all? A leadership/organizational management advice column, if you will. That starts this Friday. I'm calling it Ask Dr. AJ, and I'll post it here and send it to my email list the last Friday of each month. Have a leadership, team, or organizational question for the Ask Dr. AJ column?Submit it here! ![]() |
